How Does A Wall Mounted Tv Look Wireless?
I am thinking of upgrading from my 50″ DLP to a 60″ wall mounted plasma. My problem is I have a $600 surround sound system and a cable box but I don’t want wires coming out from behind the tv and I don’t want to invest in a new system. I noticed in pictures it appears to be wireless, it doesn’t even have a plug coming from the back. Is there something seperate used with these televisions that allows it to do this and if so do you have to buy it seperately or does it come with the television?

Its not a big deal it is simply a matter of a tech doing the install for you or your husband, It does require a hole or two. But its worth it for the clean look. Or an audio system company, their techs do that everyday.

The wires come from inside the wall. If you want this to happen for your cable box, it may not be obtained.
In the commercials, what you may be seeing is the tv and the cable wire from behind. Not the box.

MOST people will cut a square hole BEHIND the plasma, and another square hole behind the Cable Box and Amp….
Then they run the wires between the two….
It’s pretty simple work, and if you KEEP the two cutouts, there are some special hardware pieces you get at lumberyards that allow you to RE-INSTALL the cutouts when you decide to fill the holes in the future (saw it on This Old House)
