Trying To Think Of An Old 90’s Sci-fi Television Show?

So this was a show I used to watch in the early 90’s as a very little kid. All I remember is that it involved a group of people some men some women I’m pretty sure there were some little kids in it who were stranded on some kind of planet or something. There were also these strange aliens who were viewed as the enemy or a threat I guess and carried around these big staff instruments that shot out electricity or plasma. I have no idea what the show is.
