Video Game Burn In On Plasma Tv’s?

I don’t understand, burn in on plasma tv’s are caused by static images right? In what way do modern video games have static images, its not like im playing bloody pac man…:s. E.g. GTA IV how has that got ANY static images on it? Everythings constantly moving, and if you think about it their are probably less than 1/100 games that have a lot of static images in it. The most you will get from the majority of modern video games is like the health counter or something, which is no worse than the television programs logo etc.
So I ask again; how can video games possibly cause burn in on plasma tv’s?

I own a 50″ Samsung plasma screen TV that is about 6 months old. About a month ago, we started noticing pixels that are flashing green, red, or blue. These pixels flashes are only evident when the background on the television is black or dark colored. This pixel flashing only occurs in the bottom right-hand side of the television and the top portion and lower left hand quarters are fine. Is this considered screen burn and if so, what can we do to fix?

I found the following in a search:
“All phosphor based display systems (CRT direct and rear view and plasma) are susceptible to image retention also known as “ghosting, image shadowing, image burn in.” This is due to physical properties of phosphor and how it reacts to light and electric impulse.”

The owner’s manuel recommends not watching non-HD programming with the black bars on the sides of the screen. However, watching non-HD programming in full screen mode will distort the picture. Will the original square picture with the black bars cause any type of burn in? Why would the LCD TV have the feature of a 4:3 or square screen if it was harmful to the TV? Thanks.

I’m considering buying a plasma television, and I know you have to be careful about the first hundred hours, and I’m thinking about the samsung PN50A530, and if I use the anti-burn in features, do I have to worry about watching widescreen, letterboxed movies and normal tv with network logos right after I buy the tv? Are the anti burn in features good enough to prevent that?
